Stories of the Prophets

قَصَصُ النَّبِيِّينَ لِلْأَطْفَالِ

A graded reader of Sayyid Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī al-Nadwī's classic five-part children's text — the book on which generations have first learned to read classical Arabic. Each story is presented line by line, with English translation, vocabulary keyed to root, and a language note on every line. Qurʾanic verses are preserved in full Uthmani rasm and always shown vocalised; al-Nadwī's prose carries per-line vowel buttons, so you can reveal the harakat or test your own reading and iʿrāb.

About this reader. Al-Nadwī's Qaṣaṣ an-Nabiyyīn lil-Atfāl runs to five parts, telling the stories of the prophets from Ibrāhīm to the Sīrah of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ. We are building it out one part at a time. Part 3 — the life of Mūsā — is the first available, and is being released chapter by chapter, beginning with the dramatic centre of the story: the contest between Mūsā and Pharaoh's magicians.

The remaining parts are listed below and will open as they are completed. Check back for new additions.
